The copyright industries in Kenya contribute significantly to the economic development of the country and, therefore, need to be nurtured and facilitated. To help in the nurturing of the creatives, Kenya Copyright Board is mandated by law to device and implement training programmes on copyright and related rights. It is also required to enlighten and inform the public on matters relating to copyright and related rights.
The Board does this by reaching out to creatives from different parts of the country and organizing training sessions where they are enlightened about copyright and related rights. The Board also develops Information Education and Communication materials (IEC) and a quarterly Newsletter which are shared on the website. It also interacts with the public on its social media platforms. These are: Facebook; Kenya Copyright Board; Twitter; @KenyaCopyright; YouTube; Kenya Copyright Board; Instagram; Kenya Copyright Board. You can follow these social media pages and interact with our team.
A group of creatives may come together and request for training on copyright and related rights from the Board. The request for training can be done through https://copyright.ecitizen.go.ke
